Socialist post election meltdown in Argentina has been enormous : Rita Panahi
Sky News Australia host Rita Panahi says the postelection meltdown by Argentinian socialists has been enormous after libertarian Javier Milei won the election on Saturday. Mr Milei was elected as Argentinas new president after receiving over 55 per cent of the vote in the second round of elections. He is often compared to former US president Donald Trump and is known for notoriously bringing chainsaws to campaign rallies where he promised to cut state spending. Mr Milei s election win means it is the second time the Peronist leftwing Justicialist Party will be out of power since 2001. The left has just wreaked havoc in that country, Ms Panahi said. Its once prosperous, now the economy is in ruins inflation running at between 120 and 150 per cent annually.
