Merry Sprites (1936)

Paperwork reads Merry sprites. Bath, Avon. M, S of a group of children in the grounds of Newton Park, they roll backwards and forwards in formation, then stand up and jump around. Various C, U s of the boys and girls laughing, they are pupils of Captain Olssen and rhythmic movement is part of their training. Various shots as they perform bending and stretching exercises. M, S as the Captain helps them over a vaulting horse, slow motion M, S as two girls vault. Various shots as they approach a bench from different sides and roll over it just missing each other in precision exercise. Slow motion M, S as they vault over the horse again, C, U of Captain Olssen. Various shots as they jump. M, S as they jump through hoops and children standing on their heads making the letter W. Slow motion M, S as they do this. Various shots of the girls dressed in butterfly wings, they run towards a wall and launch themselves off it, Captain Olssen catches them. M, S of the children and the Captain laughing together.
