My alltime favourite Kinks song. It was a followup to Wonderboy, the first Kinks record to fail to make the Top 30. Entering the UK charts on 20 July 1968, it peaked at, 12. Strangely, due to a typographic error, early copies of the single were labeled as Day s and that s how it appears in my Bible of Rock and Roll Singles.
