Penge, South London. M, S of French windows and an overgrown garden at the back of a school. A group of scruffy kids charge excitedly out of the doors past the camera. M, S of the group of kids running up a suburban street and through the front gate of one of the houses. M, S of the kids joining a larger group crowded around the front door steps of a Victorian terrace house. C, U of a hand written sign on the front door which reads: Next session for taking dogs for a walk 2pm. M, S of the door opening and all the kids rushing in. The house owner, Graham Beagley, looks after unwanted pets and runs the Find A Dog A Home scheme. He does not have time to exercise all the dogs so he gets local children to help. M, S of a row of ramshackle kennels with corrugated iron roofs. Dogs of different sizes are tied outside the kennels. The kids run down the path to the dogs.
