Kuril Situation Still Up in Air Japanese MFA Removes Ownership Claim in Official Policy Book

Subscribe to Vesti News Tokyo hasn t abandoned the idea of having a claim on the Kuril Islands. This statement was made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Tarō Kōno. Earlier, the Japanese Ministry published a report called the Blue Book of Diplomacy. Its new version doesn t state that the country needs to have four islands of the Southern Kurils.
