ABOUT THIS CASE Approximately 45yearold patient who presents to the consultation with discomfort in his hallux nail of the left foot. Half of the nail is affected by mixed onychomycosis (with ongoing corresponding medical treatment). A deep cleaning of its distal edge, general reconditioning of the nail plate and control of its volume are performed for the comfort of the patient and immediate relief of the discomfort she had on admission.
