African Grey Parrots At The Bai
African Grey Parrots (Psittacus erithacus) often join forest elephants in clearings in Central Africa where both species are attracted to scarce minerals available there. While elephants make deep pits to drink water percolating up through the soil, the parrots more often are either eating mineralladen dirt or munching on grass with unusually high concentrations of minerals because of where it is growing.
