Raw folk black metal band Heáfodbán have released their debut full length album, and obliterated their past selves with this monstrously bludgeoning war metal reincarnation. Somehow retaining an essence and even clear instrumentation of their folk roots, as well as their pagan antimodern, antifascist ideologies, this is quite a reimagining of a sound which was confrontational in the first instance, but still closer to the Cascadian style of their Pacific Northwest region.
