AC 130 J Ghostrider Gunship From Maintenance to Training Mission
U. S. Air Force Aircrew members, with the 73rd Special Operations Squadron, conduct maintenance prior a departure and a live fire training mission in an AC130J Ghostrider gunship above Eglin Range, Florida. The 73rd SOS provided close air support to U. S. Army Rangers by firing 60 105mm rounds and 300 rounds of 30mm ammunition. The training exercise allows to maintain proficiency and readiness. The AC130J Ghostrider gunship is a highly modified C130J aircraft, and fourth generation gunship that contains advanced features.
