MIT Media Literacy Series: Introduction to Deep Fakes
This sixpart series focuses on evaluating who is behind the information youre consuming online. Youll learn how to factcheck and crossreference sources, evaluate the reliability of seemingly professional, visually convincing websites, make informed decisions about which Google results to click on (hint: its not the first one on the list ), and how to recognize media created to mislead (aka deep fakes). These workshops, created for all audiences, include handson activities created to help participants apply what theyre learning to become more savvy media consumers in their daily lives. This interactive program is led by Camila Lee, an Instructional Designer and Research Associate at the MIT Teaching Systems Lab.
