WATCH IN 1080p September 10th, 2009. The Wiltern Theater, Los Angeles California. History will remember this as the 830th live performance of Trent Reznor s genius Nine Inch Nails. Their 830th and, incidentally, final live performance. Although Trent Reznor has vowed to continue making music, whether it be in the vessel of Nine Inch Nails or something completely untried, he has stated time and again that he is done with the live aspect of Nails. This, the Wiltern performance, was not to be their last but second to last. Because Trent took ill he had to rescedule two of the LA shows, making the Wiltern Theater the last venue Nine Inch Nails would ever play. So by some stroke of luck, fate, something, I found myself on a plane bound for LA (for the second time in a week) to take witness to this, the most anticipated, and yet dreaded, final NIN performance.
