German Chancellor Angela Merkel has said she grieves for those who ve lost their lives as local media reports at least 60 people were killed by floods in Germany and neighbouring Belgium. Recent storms across parts of western Europe made rivers and reservoirs burst their banks, triggering flash floods overnight after the saturated soil couldnt absorb any more water.
