Marine One Surprises the Secret Service and we ride around on a rainy and sunny day in Washington
Marine One was scheduled to depart at 5:40, but as time went along I didn t see any of the signs they were preparing for the helicopter s arrival. No closing of the park, no fire trucks, no closing of the roads, no snipers on the roof. Everything was just like a normal day, until Nighthawk One popped up behind the Washington Monument and a giant scramble started. Out of the Park they yelled to the tourists. Block the roads they ordered the cars. But in the end the helicopter came and went. I couldn t really see much because of the dark. I also decided to take you around earlier in the day and take in some of the sights of the city on a rainy and then blue sky kind of day (it was strange). We saw a motorcade leave the White House, possibly with the First Lady heading to Camp David (she wasn t on the helicopter). We also went up to the reflecting pool at the Capitol and the reflecting pool at the Lincoln Memorial so you can see the differences between the two. And I also had a pit beef sandwich, so that
