Nice Tramway Line 2 at the Airport, April 2019

The western surface section of Nices new line T2 tramway opened in 2018 and is catenary free. The Alstom Citadis X05 trams are equipped with Ecopack supercapacitors which are recharged at stops in 20 sec using Alstoms SRS groundbased static charging technology. The line is the first application of SRS, which is a development of Alstoms APS groundlevel power supply technology.
