Steam in China 2000 Daban Loco Depot, Ji Tong Line
The video begins with some scenes shot at the east end of the Jing Peng Pass overlooking the small town of Reshui. This is followed by some shunting at an unknown location on the JiTong Line. Until the line was dieselised in 2005, Daban Loco Depot was probably the last standard gauge main line steam depot in the world. It was always noisy and full of atmosphere.
