Emma Morton the Graces is my latest musical project with drummer Piero Perelli and guitarist Luca Giovacchini. The project explores and celebrates the idea of beautiful contaminations; our sound offsets the sweet tones typical to my Scottish folk heritage with our shared passion for AfroAmerican music. Rockroots and blueeyed soul, twangs of country and jazz accompany confessions of regret, desire and revenge, which are told through twisted mouth and in dialect (Scotland) while we monomythically transform the darkness hiding daily life into something mystical and sublime.
