Supercontinents Vaalbara to Pangaea
Every other Wednesday we present a new video, so join us to see the truth laid The theory of continental drift suggests that we go through cyclical phases of continental dispersion and collision, over hundreds of millions of years. The Earth, 3. 4 billion years ago, plate tectonics pushes the protocontinents together. They combine to form ever larger tracts of land. Scientists suggest that cratons combine with other cratons to form a supercontinent, a huge continuous stretch of land, called Vaalbara. Clip taken from the Naked Science documentary Colliding Continents.
