Mr Gardner of the United States Chamber of Commerce sits at a desk with President Harry S Truman and John Snyder, Director of War Mobilisation and Reconversion Advisory Board. Gardner speaks into a microphone and passes a resolution endorsing the loan to Great Britain to Gardner, from several unions and federations of the Board. Gardner gives the resolution to Truman saying something along the lines of when everyone agrees it must be a good thing. Truman tells both men he is delighted the policy has the approval of the board. He talks of prewar Britain being the largest single customer of American goods.
