Stream NANAO is a rumination on unrequited love, dreaming of finding common ground but soon realizing you are stuck, alone and vulnerable. The video cocreated by Jay Swuen Jas Lin, is a haunting tale of two lovers who find themselves drowning in toxic cycles of entanglement and codependency. Inspired by the ancient Chinese mythological book The Classic of Mountains and Seas (山海经 300 two dancers portray MANMAN蛮蛮) a mythical beast formed of two conjoined oneeyed birds. As the video spirals, the two halves undergo a violent process of merging with flashes of fleeting intimacy and tenderness.
