Jane Berwick (pro: BEAR IK) spent most of her formative years living abroad building her career as an adultlearningprofessional, outside her home country of Canada. What was supposed to be a oneyear stint, teaching English to adults in Japan, turned into a 15year journey and a career spanning multiple cities around Asia and now in the UK. She has worked in many diverse settings from corporate environments in Learning and Development, to startups, notforprofit, and luxury travel, heading up large and smallscale training programmes for adults. initially wanting to pursue graduate studies in linguistics, Jane found her calling in adult education, Jane studied professional identity formation in crosscultural contexts for her graduate research. A topic that continues to fascinate her to this day.
