Women working on farm in 1916 location of events unknown. Opens with shot of 4 women land girls hoeing rows in a field. Man walks up from behind and says something to one of them. Women raking, turning over soil around tiny fruit trees. Then women (wearing overalls) stand at a trellis, training vines. The everpresent supervisor comes up to give directions. Woman operating a pump, the man walks up, does something to the pump and walks on. Pan to man watching as a woman sprays trees from a hose attached to the pump; another woman does same.
