Brandon Manitoba Threatened By Flood Water Rising Monday May 9, 2011 ( Drive Tour)
Brandon flood 2011 brings much more water than we have seen in past years of floods. This is because Manitoba government agreed to allow Saskatchewan to dump a shit load of water into our system. The river rise in the past few days is directly related to this ignorant move made by officials, allowing Saskatchewan to do such. Waters are rising and we are looking at potential flooding of residential and commercial areas. Some residence are being given a deadline of tonight to get out. .before the river takes over. Commercial properties are shutting down and evacuating with their stock. 1st Street is now closed off due to rising waters. 18th Street North is cut down to one lane of traffic each direction but is likely facing total closer soon. One more HEADS UP . .On the TransCanada Highway, the Assiniboine river bridge west of Brandon now has river water right up to the bridge.
