Off duty deputy shoots, kills man in Texas

A man has died after being shot by an offduty Harris County deputy in Atascocita, Texas. Authorities said the offduty officer was putting his child in the backseat of his car when the shooting occurred. Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez says the shooting happened in the 5300 block of Treewood Drive, near West Lake Houston Parkway and Upper Lake Drive. The Harris County Sheriff s Office and the Precinct 4 Constable s Office are responding to the scene. The offduty deputy was not injured. No other details are available at this time.
