How to treat hand and thumb pain. Trigger Point work for your thumb pain
The base of the thumb is a common area for arthritic changes and pain, but some of the pain could be from Trigger Points in the muscle. You will need a tennis ball or a lacrosse ball to work the small muscles around your thumb. If it s more tender than the nonpainful side then you can assume some of your pain is from Trigger Points in the muscle. Try this exercise to help with your pain. You can repeat the exercises multiple times in a day if it s helpful.
