A man is dictating a letter to his secretary. Another woman comes in (possibly his daughter) and brings him some mail. The man opens one of the letters. Title reads: The stenographer s young man Edwin The secretary comes out of the house and shows the leaflet to her sweetheart. They agree to go to the play. The father discovers that the leaflet has gone from the bin. He questions his secretary. He then finds it and after rereading it he dictates a letter. Title reads: The next morning.
