It Could Still Fire Golden Eyes Tank Chase, Art of the Scene ( Ft. Chris Corbould)
With the new James Bond film No Time to Die releasing this week, we sat down with the longtime Special Effects Supervisor on the 007 franchise Chris Corbould to talk about one of our favorite James Bond movies, GoldenEye (1995). In this Art of the Scene, were going to talk about the most complicated action scene in GoldenEye, the tank chase. In this Chris Corbould interview, hes going to talk to us about what it was like to work on the GoldenEye tank chase and talk about how he managed to convince Barbra Broccoli and GoldenEye director, Martin Campbell to replace an underwhelming motorcycle chase with the tank chase. On top of that, Martin Cambell also talks to us about his lastminute decision to use the James Bond theme during the GoldenEye 1995 tank chase, because the synth music originally scored for the scene was getting drowned out by the sound effects. GoldenEye 1995 was the first movie to feature Pierce Brosnan as James Bond. 007 is now played by Daniel Craig in the new movie, No Time to Die. B
