Restoring a WWII Vintage Cattaraugus Knife and Making a Leather Sheath
Did you know that the U. S. issued knives OTHER than the KABAR in WWII :) But seriously; I purchased this World War II era Cattaraugus 225Q Quartermaster bowie knife from eBay. It was in rough shape and in need of restoration (just the way I like my knives ). I cleaned it up and gave it a new sheath. The leather washers in the handle were deteriorated, so they had to be replaced. For a little bit of extra flair, I also added some G10 and brass spacers. This video is equal parts metal work, restoration, and leathercraft. follow me on instagram roadagentleather Btw, my laser is the excellent xTool P2 55W CO2.
