Japan is reportedly in talks to supply the US with artillery shells to bolster Ukraines counteroffensive against Russia. On June 15, the Wall Street Journal reported that Tokyo is considering supplying 155mm artillery shells to Ukraine. The transfer of munitions will be done under a 2016 pact to share ammunition as part of its longstanding security alliance with the US.
