A morning at our bird feeder in Costa Rica

The nails don t hurt them, and without some way of securing the food, it s gone in minutes. Cast of characters: Collared Aracari Toucans, several kinds of woodpeckers, Oropendula, Palm Tanagers, Blue, Gray Tanagers, Baltimore Orioles, Claycolored Thrush (the national bird of Costa Rica), Redlegged Honeycreepers, BlackCowled Oriole, Euphonias, a few varieties of hummingbirds, and more. In the trees but not in view, parrots and a Keelbilled Toucan.
