South Korea has fired dozens of shells across the border into North Korea. Reports suggest it was in retaliation for North Korea firing across the border at a loudspeaker broadcasting messages to the North. South Korean defence officials said they detected the trajectory of what was believed to be a North Korean rocket, but that it caused no damage.
