(121) UU 4951 (kira moves to milan), Notnagel
Polterabend is the evening before a wedding, when crockery is smashed outside the door of the bride s parents or of the bride and groom. According to tradition, the broken pieces are supposed to bring luck to the happy couple. Often the Polterabend is extended into an informal party for friends and acquaintances and is sometimes held a week before the wedding to allow guests time to recover. BAföG is an abbreviation of Bundesausbildungsförderungsgesetz, the regulation governing financial assistance for students of higher education. Used colloquially, BAföG refers to the monthly allowance paid by the state. Awards are meanstested and usually given in the form of a loan.
