Today catalystquartetour metlivearts 202223 Quartet in Residenceperforms a piece titled But, Just a Minute of composer Paquito DRivera (paquitodrivera) performed in The Mets Musical Instruments galleries, writing: Paquito was the first composer to submit his miniature for CQ Minute. We all had a nice laugh when we saw the title he chose because many of the contributors to CQ Minute expressed how surprisingly difficult it is to compose an entire piece in just 12 minutes We love the humor of Paquitos title as well as the little wink at the end of the piece. Whats, CQMinute In commemoration of their 10th anniversary, Catalyst Quartet has commissioned a series of miniature string quartets from 11 composers, ranging from Pulitzer winners to jazz legends to indiepop starsall performed in the Museums galleries and released right here on The Mets YouTube and Instagram.
