I think there are a lot of misconceptions out there about what being a nurse really entails. In school, the first few semesters are about cramming as much technical info into your head as possible. But, I took a chance on an elective called Power of Nursing my senior year, and it was truly a transcendental experience. It focused on the socalled softskills of nursing. Not how to place an I. V., or do CPR. It was about what it means to be a carer. And rather than explain what it means, I d rather let Violet show you instead.
