William John Charles (Swansea, 27 December 1931 Wakefield, 21 February 2004) was a Welsh international footballer. 160 games and 97 goals in Serie A, playing as striker with Juventus FC and AS Roma. In 6 seasons, from 1957 to 1963, he won 3 Serie A and 2 Coppa Italia (all with Juventus). His most important individual honour was 1957, 58 Serie A Topscorer, at his debut in Italy.
