Kids Club Aka Camel Club (1944)
Item title reads Kids club. Children attend Camel Club set up by Save the Children Fund in London s East End. M, S of a former public house called The Camel in London s East End, children walk up the blitzed street. A boy takes membership fee of one penny a week and notes the names in a book. M, S interior of the old pub where girls are running a tuck shop, very good shots as the children crowd around, C, U of the price list. Various shots of the girls handing out food. Two little boys come up late, one whispers because he has no money. He is let off until next week and goes into the club. M, S as he elbows his way to the front and licks his lips whilst watching the food being handed out. Camera pans across children eating and drinking whilst they chat. The boys play darts.
