Tractor Bulldozer School (1956)
Feltham, Middlesex. Various shots of tuition being given in driving bulldozer tractors. They are driven over large piles of earth and into big holes. Loads are lifted in the tractor shovel. Narrator gives us lots of facts and figures about the bulldozers. One of the teachers at the training school uses a scale model to show the possible dangers of operating these large machines. One of the students drives the bulldozer up a steep incline and makes a typical beginner s fault. The tractor rolls back down the hill as the trainer watches. He tries again. Experience is a fine teacher states the narrator. Teacher takes his pipe out and smiles broadly as his pupil makes it to the top. Narrator tells us that the instructor is Peter Knight a former T. T. rider. Commentary ends with the following suggestion: next time you stop to watch like everyone else at a building site or something. .. why not show your appreciation and take the hat round FILM A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ.
