I Flew 3000 Miles for this Sunset

I went to LA to photograph a precocious 10yearold, Avaree Jade, who had written me a charming email mentioning her stepdad, the famous dance photographer Sharkcookie. I was intrigued, but I was sick so I showed up without a plan. I assumed we d shoot in the mall, but suddenly we got caught in the most remarkable sunset and I ended up with an incredible photograph for my book.
