North Korea fires missiles again amid unusual flurry of tests BBC News
North Korea has conducted more missile tests to advance its weapons programme, which it says is necessary to defend itself against a possible US invasion. Already in January, six tests have been carried out on hypersonic as well as shortrange and longrange ballistic missiles. The UN prohibits North Korea from ballistic and nuclear weapons tests, and has imposed strict sanctions.
