Piano live, Gluck Sgambati Melody from Orpheus et Eurydice, Hubert Harry Piano
Pianist Hubert Harry played this encore rarely, the GluckSgambati Melody from Orphée et Eurydice found unexpectedly on a private taperecording of a live performance. Hubert Harry, (1927 2010) born in DaltoninFurness, England, a childprodigy, studied in Manchester from 1935 to 1946. He continued his studies under Edwin Fischer and Dinu Lipatti in Switzerland, where he was awarded international prizes and began a successful career as a concert pianist. Friendship with the Rachmaninoff family and a growing circle of students encouraged him to stay in Lucerne.
