Episode: 44 Box Joint Finger Joint Jig One hour Build ONLINE CLASS This project uses the following project; Video Extreme Crosscut Sled Miter, Dado With removable zero clearance inserts: I have a few projects coming up that will use finger joints, and I have a few jigs laying around, but I thought I would show exactly how easy it is to build one. This jig took about an hour to film and build. Including the time to dial it in and cut a sample box. Anybody can make one. It works best if you have a crosscut sled. Then the build only takes a small scrap of plywood, and a short small piece of hardwood. This jig is essentially built for free, with workshop scraps. Pieces needed: plywood. 3 wide x 20 long A few pieces of hardwood. (I used a maple scrap). 5, 8 tall x 3, 8 thick x 6 long. (Cut one about a hair narrower than 3, 8, and one right at 3, 8, and one more at a hair bigger than 3, 8) And a tiny bit of glue. Thats it
