The Log Round Up (1926)
Shot in Norway. Timber is floated down to the mills. L, S camera pans across a large amount of logs. Over one million logs are the result of this mighty roundup near Long shot of thousands of logs all neatly stacked. The logs are transferred to the big wood mills via rope ways. L, S of logs being transported by a pulley system. They are lowered by ropes into a large hole in the roof of a mill. M, S of man working the pulley system. Various shots of logs being loaded onto a large hook and sent off on the pulley system. Logs arrive at the other end and are tipped into a hole. The logs are made into pulp in a waterdriven mill. L, S of landscape with large area of water. Camera pans across to show the water mill. Was item in Pathe Pictorial issue number 407. Paper records state: Mr Fisher s Norway Tour but there is no mention of Mr Fisher in the intertitles so goodness knows who he might have been. FILM A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ.
