East And West Some Dance Comparisons (1922)
Three contrasting styles of dance. Group of people dressed in exotic costumes walk down the stone steps of a large stately home type garden. Dacia performs an exotic Eastern Dance surrounded by a troupe dressed in an elaborate Eastern style. She dances in front of an ornamental pond. The second dance is a Western dance of joyous youthful abandon performed by a group of women dressed in simple tunics. They seem to be in the same place as Dacia. They are dancing a traditional back to nature sort of dance in bare feet. The last dance is a whirly WestEnd Waltz by the exhibition dancers Ted Trevor and Dinah Harris. They are dancing in a studio.
