Yuki Ishikawa DESTROYED Canada in Men s VNL 2024 The fourthbest team in the Preliminary Phase, last years bronze medalists Japan earned the right of appearing in the VNL semifinals for a secondstraight season with a solid 30 (2624, 2518, 2624) victory over fifthplaced Canada. Currently in second place in the World Rankings with points, the Japanese benefited from an extraordinary performance from team captain Yuki Ishikawa to prevail over the Canadians. The 28yearold Ishikawa was by far Japans most productive player on the court, producing 26 points, with 20 kills, three blocks and three aces. The next Japanese player to appear in the box score after him was fellow outside hitter Tatsunori Otsuka, who tallied ten points, with eight kills and two aces.
