Reel 1. Documentary tracing lead up to the royal wedding and the event itself. Described by Anna Neagle. L, S high angle of crowds in Trafalgar Square. Various top shots of crowds lining the streets interspersed with closer shots of crowds and shots of policemen controlling the spectators. Big Ben. C, U Duke of Edinburgh standing in the grounds of Kensington Palace men (presumably employees of the Duke) stand around and smile. The Royal Standard flies. Various shots of Buckingham Palace and the Royal Carriage taking Queen Elizabeth and Princess Margaret to the ceremony. The Duke of Edinburgh leaves Kensington Palace, his workers wave. One man has a chimney sweep s brush. His car is waved off. Buckingham Palace royal procession. King George VI and the Princess in royal carriage. Various shots of the carriage travelling through London streets many people cheering and waving, lining the streets. The procession passes Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament.
