Giant Sinkhole Opens Up In Mexico, Prompting Evacuations of Nearby Residents
A gaping sinkhole measuring 200 feet in diameter opened up over the weekend on farmland in Mexico. It appeared Saturday in the town of Juan C. Bonilla, in the state of Puebla in southeastern Mexico, according to state officials. It s estimated to be about 50 feet deep. There were no reports of injuries or damage to structures but a nearby home was evacuated and members of the public were being told to stay away.
