A comingofage drama in a rural French town Marc, a 15year old boy breaks free from his fixation with his older halfsister, Vivien and learns to trust himself and become independent. When she finally returns home after an eight year absence, young Marc is ecstatic. He is awed by her freewheeling, independent life. He quietly follows her every move, living vicariously through her. She becomes his teacher, but as he observes her more closely he begins to see that she has no real sense of selfworth. Her promiscuity is only a mask to hide her lack of selfrespect. He begins to withdraw and follow his own path. They both have unusual ideas about love: Vivien doesn t know how to say no to his fans, and Mark discovers that he likes guys.
