DA: Bucks County police involved shooting neither justified, nor criminal, but was excused
The shooting by a New Hope, Pennsylvania, police officer March 3, 2019, of 38yearold suspect Brian Riling inside a holding cell was excused, District Attorney Matthew Weintraub said April 12, 2019. The officer was found to have believed he was deploying his taser, not his firearm. Riling was treated in critical condition and released.
