It s odd that Helen Shapiro s biggest Australian hit didn t even make the charts in her home country the UK back in 1963. But Not Responsible reached, 1 in Oz charted for a massive 6 months Of course she had many others in England including this one s Aussie flip side No Trespassing, which made it a double sided smash here. But Not Responsible is one of my earliest musical memories at the age of 3 or 4, which I distinctly recall more than any of Helen s other hits.
