A young boy and girl wander off on their own. The tide is coming in. They play by a rock pool and then lie down eating apples and rest in the sun. Cut to shots of the sea closing in. Time passes and the children wake up. They begin to search in the rockpools with their nets. The camera pulls back to reveal that they are on a small strip of beach entirely surrounded by water. The children play on, blissfully unaware of the situation. The girl looks up and suddenly realises their danger. The boy tries to wade through the water but it is too deep.
