Originally, in 1990, those variations were written for the last episodes of a musical tale in French for 5 years old kids in kindergarten (there are a few poems out of it on my site). There was then only the music (and of course, the spoken text in French). Each variation was supposed, to be a short introduction to the arrival in a particular country during a trip of the 3 heroes around the world. Only recently, I added the picts for more fun, and made a short video out of it, including titles in English. As in those days, since informatics was just at its very beginning, and since I was completely ignorant about it anyway, and also I was alone to do all, I used what was by then called: multiplay , that is, playing one part and recording it, then playing it through earphones and playing and recording the second part, etc. , sometimes if necessary, many times, until all was recorded.
